My eyes are neither open nor shut, they simply don't exist. I don't exist, my thoughts are melded with my soul to create a being that is infinite and finite all in one moment. In a second that doesn't exist, scent returns to me, a lovely scent that would send ones consciousness into a doze instantly. I know the name of such a scent, it is lavender. I find that when I know the name, I wish to see the possessor as well.
I open my eyes, my vision returning to me as soon as I choose to recognise it, as does every other physical aspect of my body. I am standing, in a hazy meadow. Light vaguely streams in betwixt the trees and the clouds, creating a fairy tale like setting that drifts above and upon a gently sea of violet that is peppered with patches of sweet green. The scent that came before the sight is stronger now, and enfolds my mind in a deep peace.
I step forward towards the lush bed that awaits me, white silk billowing behind me as my determination pulls me forward. I nest myself in the crook of a small ditch. Resting what I know is my head upon the cushion that has been provided, I inhale the rich scent deeply and consequently become dizzy. Eyes fluttering, my mind pulling me back to the distant peace of nothingness, I barely see the the bed of violet and green grow and reach over me, enclosing me in a most beautiful eternal embrace from which I know I will never awake.
